NAVER Corporation (CEO Choi Soo-yeon) has published its 2025 Integrated Report, presenting the company’s financial and ESG performance for the year and its vision for sustainable growth.
This year’s report reflects the growing importance of AI transformation and technological trust as key indicators of sustainability for platform companies. It is organized around three pillars: ▲business synergy, ▲impact creation and ▲technological trust. NAVER has also expanded its existing Project Flower initiative into NAVER Impact, a broader program designed to strengthen shared growth across its platform ecosystem. Through the initiative, NAVER is improving access to technologies such as AI, supporting the growth of businesses and creators, and deepening connections with local communities.
The report also highlights concrete results from NAVER Impact. Across its Tech, Business and Community pillars, key initiatives included the ADVoost Shopping × AI RIDE campaign, which helps small business owners and brands use AI-powered business tools; the Creator Launcher program, which supports creator growth; and BE LOCAL WEEK Gyeongju, which gave users new ways to discover local brands. In 2025, NAVER deployed KRW 22.9 billion in the Tech Impact area, which supports the expansion of AI technology as a growth foundation for diverse participants across the ecosystem. The company deployed a total of KRW 142 billion through its Impact Fund that year and plans to expand the fund to a cumulative KRW 1 trillion by 2030.
The report also spotlights NAVER’s On-Service AI strategy, which embeds AI across the company’s services. By drawing on its own data in areas such as UGC, shopping and local services, NAVER has built a virtuous cycle between data and AI to improve the usability of its core services. In addition to AI use cases such as AI Briefing, ADVoost and the NAVER Plus Store app, NAVER plans to expand AI-powered experiences through Agent N, AI Tab and Shopping AI Agent. These services are designed to connect search with purchase, reservation and payment, creating a more seamless path from discovery and decision-making to action.
To reinforce technological trust for users, NAVER has fully revamped its sustainability strategy and expanded disclosures on material topics of high stakeholder interest, including ▲privacy protection, ▲information security, ▲greenhouse gas and energy management, and ▲human capital management. The report also outlines NAVER’s ESG achievements, including progress in reducing greenhouse gas emissions under its 2040 Carbon Negative strategy and securing large-scale renewable energy for AI data centers. It also highlights the company’s ninth consecutive top rating in the Win-Win Growth Index, “Very Good” ratings in the search and shopping categories of the User Protection Performance Evaluation, an AA rating in the Fair Trade Compliance Program for the second consecutive year, and the Personal Information Protection Company of the Year award from the Korea Association for Personal Information Protection (KAPP).
NAVER also published a separate Climate Information Disclosure Report, providing detailed information in line with global and Korean climate disclosure standards. The report covers ▲climate-related governance, ▲scenario analysis, ▲climate resilience, and ▲metrics and targets. NAVER also worked with K-water to conduct a physical risk assessment for extreme rainfall using digital twin technology. In addition, the company disclosed a TNFD-based biodiversity analysis of its GAK Chuncheon data center conducted with the Ecological Society of Korea, offering guidance on sustainable infrastructure operations for platform companies.
*TNFD: A nature-related financial disclosure initiative launched in 2021 to help prevent biodiversity loss and ecosystem collapse.
“NAVER’s sustainable growth depends on growing together with the many participants in our ecosystem, including users, businesses and creators,” said Choi Soo-yeon, CEO of NAVER. “Drawing on our AI, data and platform capabilities, we will continue to support the growth of our partners and build a NAVER ecosystem that advances with all of its participants, so that more people can benefit from the opportunities created by technology.” (End)
