NAVER Cloud Partners with Vietnam’s Largest IT Company on AI Factory Business, Targeting Asia-Pacific AI Market

- NAVER Cloud and Vietnam’s FPT to team up on AI factory and GPUaaS business, combining their engineering capabilities to collaborate on everything from optimizing GPU infrastructure to building AI agents

NAVER Cloud, led by CEO Kim Yu-won, is joining forces with FPT, Vietnam’s leading IT company, to develop an AI factory business and expand GPU-as-a-Service (GPUaaS) offerings across Asia-Pacific (APAC) markets, including Korea, Japan, and Vietnam.

The two companies recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) at NAVER 1784, agreeing to explore cooperation in areas such as the planning, development, and operation of the AI factory business. FPT is Vietnam’s leading global ICT company and, as an NVIDIA Cloud Partner, a frontrunner in the country’s AI cloud market.

The partnership centers on combining the GPU infrastructure, cloud technologies, business capabilities, and customer networks of both companies to jointly expand AI factory and GPUaaS business opportunities across APAC.

Together, the two companies plan to identify demand in regions that neither could easily serve on its own. They will provide infrastructure, AI models, and AI services to enterprises and AI service providers that need GPU computing resources for large-scale AI training and inference. This will allow these customers to adopt AI quickly without the burden of building their own infrastructure.

The companies will also collaborate on strengthening the engineering capabilities needed to deploy AI technology in real-world settings. They will run a regular technical exchange program that brings together technical staff from NAVER Cloud’s headquarters and its Vietnam development center with FPT engineers. At customer sites, the teams will work together on a range of tasks, including optimizing GPU infrastructure, improving AI inference performance, and building production environments for AI agents.
