NAVER Financial Nominates NAVER CFO Park Sang-jin as New CEO

- Mr. Park to start his new role in March

NAVER Financial, a subsidiary of NAVER Corp. (KRX: 035420), announced on Jan. 13 that the company nominated Mr. Park Sang-jin, NAVER’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO), to the position of new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

 

As NAVER’s CFO, Mr. Park has applied his considerable expertise and experience in finance to NAVER’s growth and global expansion by increasing investments and branching out the business.

 

Having also served as the Inside Director of NAVER Financial, Mr. Park has established successful partnerships with banks and financial companies based on his extensive industry knowledge and insight gained over the years.

 

Under Mr. Park’s lead, NAVER Financial will further enhance the competitiveness of its simple payment service, NAVER Pay, and differentiated services to support financially underprivileged groups, such as SMEs and thin-filers with little or no financial data or credit history.

 

Also, NAVER Financial will create new value in its services by forging greater synergies with NAVER’s cutting-edge technology and service capabilities, while building diverse, innovative collaboration models with financial firms.

 

Mr. Park will commence as the new CEO starting in March.
