NAVER Partners With LINE NEXT to Expand NFT Ecosystem

NAVER Corp. (KRX: 035420) and NFT platform LINE NEXT, a subsidiary of the global messenger service LINE, have joined hands to explore business opportunities in the non-fungible token (NFT) sector. LINE NEXT had earlier announced on March 16 that it will expand the NFT ecosystem through strategic collaborations with various partners, beginning with 26 global companies in different fields including gaming, entertainment, art, and services.
NAVER plans to apply its technology and content to DOSI, the global NFT platform under development by LINE NEXT, to attract South Korean users and offer them with a more familiar and convenient NFT experience. DOSI is an all-in-one global NFT publishing platform that supports the creation, issuance, marketing, and transaction of NFT assets, where companies and creators around the world can easily register NFT brand stores and form communities while receiving support for NFT production and marketing.
Through the partnership, NAVER and LINE NEXT will develop a crypto wallet service that NAVER account holders can access with their NAVER IDs, and enable users to purchase NFTs on DOSI directly through NAVER’s online payment service, NAVER Pay. In addition, the two companies will provide entertainment experiences using NFT through content services such as NAVER NOW, NAVER’s live streaming platform.
“Based in the strong competitiveness of NAVER’s technology and entertainment content, we will work closely with LINE NEXT to provide users with new experiences through NFT,” said Han Jae-young, executive officer of business development center at NAVER.
