SUPERLABS (CEO Kim Chang-wook, Jeon Jin-soo), a company that envisions to change the creator ecosystem in Virtual Human and Virtual Contents, unveiled its first virtual human 'MOA' through an advertisement video for NAVER Shopping Fashion Town.

<NAVER Shopping Fashion Town>, launched on November 9th, specializes in fashion where users can browse a wide range of products from department stores to outlets, brands, Soho & streets, and designer fashion at once. In this video commercial, MOA shows how a virtual human enjoys shopping while going through various spaces in Fashion Town.
The name, MOA, is a homophone of Moi, a french word for 'me' denoting expressive and bold characteristics of Gen Z. As MOA likes to freely express through fashion, MOA has a persona of being the most active user of NAVER’s Fashion Town services.

SUPERLABS' AI GAN technique and 3D technology were used to build MOA's image. Along with full 3D modeling, motion capture and retargeting technologies were also applied to express natural movements. Furthermore, the method of photorealistic rendering was used for detailed movements such as hair or facial muscles following different facial expressions.
In addition, AI-based full 3D technologies were used to build all the spaces including offices, department stores, outlets, designer shops, and Soho & streets that appear in the 'Fashion Town' video and MOA can be seen naturally shopping in the virtual space.
“Virtual humans will play a central role in various fields, such as personas of content creators, models in business, personas in entertainment, and more regardless of national borders,” said Jeon Jin Soo, CEO of SUPERLABS. “By applying the continuously advancing AI technology, we will show virtual humans that can be active in various metaverse spaces.”
SUPERLABS is an artificial intelligence (AI) virtual human specialized platform company created by a large number of metaverse experts in Korea. In April, the company was established under SNOW, a subsidiary of NAVER, with the goal of building a platform that can be used for business purposes and where anyone can conveniently create virtual humans in various fields such as for global content creators∙business∙media, and more.
When AI technology is combined with existing virtual human technology, it is convenient to create a virtual human with the appearance and persona that customers need. In addition, realistic virtual humans with very similar expressions and motions to those of real-life people can be made infinitely applicable in various industries.
SUPERLABS, which started the virtual human business in earnest with the debut of MOA, plans to introduce virtual humans with colorful personas through AI technology and advanced production processes in the future.
