NAVER Cloud (CEO Kim Yoo-won), together with Singapore’s telecommunications company “StarHub,” will expand the cloud ecosystem in Southeast Asia and lead the digital transformation of the telecommunications industry by combining cloud services.

Through this agreement, both companies plan to collaborate and utilize their cloud services and telecommunications technologies to facilitate digital transformation in the telecommunications industry in Southeast Asia, ultimately delivering new value to their customers. Moreover, they have agreed on a managed service provider (MSP) partnership and plan to incorporate cloud technologies into various businesses, establishing a cooperation system for stronger global competitiveness starting with the Southeast Asian region.
To begin with, both companies will provide edge cloud computing–based 5G network services and jointly develop cloud services with ultralow latency as part of StarHub’s “Cloud Infinity Program.”*
* “Cloud Infinity Program” is a high-scalable, access-agnostic multi-cloud architecture conceptualized by StarHub. StarHub announced that it has plans to partner with cloud companies such as NAVER Cloud to develop platforms and solutions and differentiate its services by leveraging ultralow latency multi-access technologies such as 5G and 10 Gbps.
NAVER Cloud will incorporate its experience and technology gained by constructing private 5G networks in NAVER’s new office building, “1784,” into the construction of public 5G networks in Singapore. Cloud-based telecommunications technology is part of the essential foundation for digital transformation by telecommunications companies, allowing them to respond swiftly to changes and manage resources efficiently. NAVER Cloud plans to expand its infrastructure and services to the edge level and customer data centers to support the customers in operating 5G Core solutions and various workloads on the cloud-optimized container platforms, leading digital transformation in the telecommunications sector.
In addition, NAVER Cloud entered an MSP partnership with StarHub and plans to support StarHub’s partners with technical expertise and resources to establish StarHub as an MSP. NAVER Cloud and StarHub will also promote Go-to-Market (GTM) strategies in Southeast Asia and introduce solutions specific to the telecommunications industry.
StarHub is a Singapore-based telecommunications company that has provided general and corporate customers in Southeast Asia with telecommunications, entertainment, and content services.
“We are promoting Cloud Transformation to provide our customers with safer cloud-based platforms. With our ‘Cloud Infinity Program,’ we will focus on digital platforms, leading innovation and growth in various areas,” StarHub CEO Nikhil Eapen said. “Cooperation with NAVER Cloud is expected to allow StarHub to provide unlimited services to our customers and achieve sustainable growth.”
Park Weon-gi, APAC Business Development Head at NAVER Cloud, said, “It is meaningful that NAVER Cloud, Korea’s leading cloud service provider, could combine its technologies and knowledge with StarHub, a company that actively seeks transition to the cloud and digital platforms, to introduce various solutions. We will continue to actively cooperate in developing services to secure global competitiveness beyond Southeast Asia.”
