On March 28, NAVER Financial (CEO Park Sang-jin) announced that they have integrated Samsung Pay into the NAVER Pay app. The collaboration allows users to make on-site payments via NAVER Pay and receive point benefits at over 300 million Samsung Pay-affiliated offline stores throughout the country.

It is simple to use. Tap the “Samsung Pay” tab at the top of the payment section in the latest version of the NAVER Pay app and select a previously registered credit or debit card for NAVER Pay on-site QR payments. Afterward, hold your smartphone near the MST payment terminal’s card reader to complete the payment. Payments will be made using magnetic secure transmission (MST) technology.
The NAVER Pay app also provides the Samsung Pay widget, which allows for convenient payment with just one touch. Samsung Pay will also be made available for NAVER Pay on-site payments via the NAVER app during the first half of this year.

The benefits of NAVER Pay on-site payments, which give users a chance to earn random points twice, have been expanded to all Samsung Pay-affiliated offline stores. When making a payment, users can draw one random point between KRW 1 and KRW 20,000 (less than the payment amount). and the amount will be doubled. Users of NAVER Plus Membership or affiliated bank accounts (NAVER Pay Money Hana Account or Mirae Asset CMA RP NAVER Account) can continue to accumulate points up to four times the amount drawn.
A NAVER Financial representative stated, “NAVER Pay’s benefits and payment experience extend beyond online payment options to any offline store that accepts card payments. We will continue to expand our services so that NAVER Pay users can enjoy various benefits more conveniently and at a greater number of payment locations in the future.”
Samsung Pay has also been enabled at NAVER Pay–affiliated online order-type stores since March 23. Users can now utilize Samsung Pay when selecting the regular payment option on the NAVER Pay order screen. There is also a KRW 2,000 cashback event until April 11 for users who pay KRW 30,000 or more with a Samsung card via Samsung Pay at NAVER Pay–affiliated online order-type stores.
