NAVER Corporation launched “Knowledge Interactive,” a conversational search service that allows users to ask questions to AI in a conversational manner. It leverages NAVER’s hyperscale AI 'HyperCLOVA' and NAVER’s enhanced AiRSearch technology. NAVER aims to provide an enhanced search experience where users can interact with AI, control 3D models, access real-world information through augmented reality (AR).

AI-Powered Search Answers Questions Like in Human-Involved Conversations… Allowing for Complex Interactions using 3D and AR Features
One notable aspect of NAVER's Knowledge Interactive is its capability to comprehend users' everyday language. The response is structured to simulate a conversation, giving users an interactive experience as though they were asking an AI a question.
For example, the information obtained in traditional searches by typing “Tyrannosaurus rex’s diet” can be collected using everyday conversational language on Knowledge Interactive like, “Hey, T. rex, what do you like to eat?” The response will be, “I usually hunt herbivorous dinosaurs. In fact, you can find my teeth marks on the bones of many herbivorous dinosaurs.” In addition, when you ask, “Do you have good eyes?” the AI understands it as a question related to vision and provides an informative response such as “I have better vision than falcons of today, with a binocular range of 55°, which is 13 times sharper than that of a human.”
NAVER also transforms search topics into 3D models with augmented reality (AR) features using WebXR, offering users more lifelike search experiences. After searching for Tyrannosaurus rex and commanding it to “Walk” or “Run,” it will perform the requested movement. Furthermore, users can summon a 3D Tyrannosaurus rex into the real world using AR technology and engage in complex interactions like communicating with it or zooming it to its actual size.
Starting with the Tyrannosaurus rex, NAVER will provide the service for frequently searched dinosaur species and expand to other topics.

NAVER also incorporated the latest AI technology that provides the source of AI responses, strengthening the competitiveness of its conversational search AI model. Knowledge Interactive is part of the new search brand "AiRSearch" and is expected to evolve into a Smart Block with various forms, leveraging NAVER's advanced AI technologies.
Knowledge Interactive provides users with the basis and source of information in the AI’s responses and seamless conversational searches. While many of the existing chatbots trained with predetermined answers can only engage in structured Q&As, Knowledge Interactive has the flexibility to respond to a wide range of questions because it is not based on predefined answers. This understands the user’s intent, searches through validated sources and databases, sorts out appropriate answers supported by relevant documents, conducts fact-checking, and presents the source of information at the bottom of the answer as a reference. This way, users can confirm the source and search for additional information in the reference.
