For the second consecutive year, NAVER participated in LEAP 2025, hosted by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology of Saudi Arabia. Today, with Vision 2030 at its core, the Kingdom is driving sustainable growth through AI technologies in various areas, including smart cities, education, healthcare, and tourism. In line with this vision, NAVER emphasized the necessity of AI that can accurately understand Saudi Arabia’s culture and identity and also introduced AI solutions specialized towards education and health—key focus areas of Vision 2030—under the theme of “Preserving Digital Heritage with AI Value Chain.”

AI Tutor, Solving Problems Tailored to Each Student’s Level

Traditional rule-based chatbots could only respond to pre-defined prompts. On the other hand, NAVER’s generative AI tutor understands the context of students’ questions, provides relevant information to help solve problems, and recommends new exercises tailored to each student’s learning level. NAVER is leveraging this technology to develop a safe and accurate AI tutor based on textbooks that align with national education standards.

Voice EMR, Turning Doctor-Patient Conversations into Medical Records

NAVER’s AI Voice EMR technology generates medical records by analyzing the conversations between doctors and patients in real-time. When a patient says, “I’ve been having headaches for the past three days, and my temperature reached 37.8°C,” the AI automatically transcribes this to “Main symptoms: headache, fever (37.8°C), symptom onset: 3 days ago.” This allows doctors to focus more on patients’ condition. Currently, NAVER is continuing with its research to apply AI across the entire clinical workflow—from preliminary diagnosis to insurance claims processing.

Media AI, Instantly Finding the Exact Scenes Users Need

Video editing often requires hours of searching to find specific scenes within a long recording. With a request like, “Find all scenes where the main character runs,” NAVER Cloud’s Media AI instantly finds the relevant moments. The technology also automatically analyzes characters and actions in videos and organizes scripts, making video editing significantly more efficient.

Works AI, Handling from Email Drafting to Translation

AI technology embedded in NAVER WORKS, a collaboration tool of NAVER Cloud, can automatically generates email drafts with just a simple prompt, such as “Write an email proposing a marketing campaign.” It can also adjust the tone of emails to formal or casual. Furthermore, the technology summarizes key points of messages piled up overnight and instantly translates foreign languages, allowing employees to focus on higher-value activities.

At LEAP 2025, NAVER showcased even more advanced Korean technological capabilities through its AI value chain that connects—spanning data collection, data center, cloud, and AI services—drawing much-heightened attention than in the previous year.
