Lee Haejin, Founder of NAVER, met with Bruce Flatt, Chairman of Brookfield Asset Management, at NAVER 1784 on September 3 for follow-up discussions on the 1 GW AI factory project.
Lee thanked Brookfield for backing NAVER’s vision for the AI factory project with a bold investment decision. He expressed his hope that the two companies would lead the global AI infrastructure market by bringing together Brookfield’s extensive infrastructure investment expertise and NAVER’s AI technology.
Flatt thanked NAVER for choosing Brookfield as the capital partner for the AI factory project. He said Brookfield would go beyond its role as a capital investor to provide practical support across the business, including the efficient procurement of equipment and infrastructure and help attracting customers.
Brookfield, a global alternative asset manager with at least US$1 trillion in assets under management worldwide, has committed to investing up to US$9 billion in the 200 MW first phase of NAVER and NVIDIA’s 1 GW AI factory project. Starting with this first-phase financing, Brookfield plans to continue the partnership through subsequent phases. (End)
