NAVER Pay (CEO Park Sang-jin) has introduced the “NAVER Pay MoneyCard,” offering an unlimited 3% cashback on all Pay Money transactions made overseas.
The NAVER Pay MoneyCard is a prepaid card that allows users to use their loaded NAVER Pay Money and Points in a physical card format for offline transactions. This card is tailored to enhance the experience of international travel and cross-border online shopping, offering a 3% cashback on purchases made with NAVER Pay Money at online and offline international merchants, with no annual fees or spending prerequisites. Within Korea, cardholders receive up to 1.5% points back on expenditures made with NAVER Pay Money at NAVER Shopping(Smart Stores/Brand Stores) and 0.3% back at other local online and offline merchants.
The partnership with BC Card and Visa significantly expands the versatility of NAVER Pay Money· Points both in Korea and abroad. It can be used at all BC Card–affiliated merchants in Korea and at every Visa-affiliated merchant globally. Cardholders can also access the Smart Level benefits of “N Travel Club,” NAVER’s travel membership program, which includes discounts on airfare and hotels for three months following the card’s issuance.
In celebration of the card’s launch, various promotional events have been rolled out, including the transaction fee waiver and point rewards. Until February 28, 2024, any transaction fees incurred at overseas offline merchants will be fully reimbursed as points. In addition, until December 31, first-time payments over KRW 5,000 made with the NAVER Pay MoneyCard, both within Korea and abroad, will earn a bonus of 1,000 points. Those who register during the preregistration period starting November 1 will enjoy double rewards, receiving 2,000 points for each first-time payment made domestically and internationally.
A friend referral event is also ongoing to encourage users to promote the card and get rewards. Until December 31, every NAVER Pay user can generate and share a referral code. If a friend uses this code to issue a NAVER Pay MoneyCard, they will be awarded 1,000 points. The top five users with the highest number of referrals will receive 2 million points to support them with overseas travel and shopping expenses.
